About IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the institution was established in the academic year 2005–06, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Since its inception, IQAC has been functioning as a vital mechanism for quality sustenance and enhancement, continuously striving to improve academic and administrative performance. IQAC acts as a catalyst for institutional development by promoting conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvements in teaching-learning, research, extension, and governance. It is an integral part of the institutional system and plays a pivotal role in realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.

Basic Purpose of IQAC

The primary purpose of IQAC is to develop and maintain a quality culture in the institution. It ensures that quality-related initiatives are systematically planned, implemented, and monitored to meet the emerging needs of higher education. IQAC focuses on:

  • Improving and sustaining the quality of education by identifying the needs of modern education and suggesting innovative teaching–learning practices, including the effective use of teaching aids and ICT.
  • Advising the institution on developing suitable infrastructure to support academic excellence.
  • Offering suggestions for introducing new Self-financing Courses, Skill Development Courses, and Certificate Courses in line with student and industry requirements.
  • Providing recommendations to the Management, Principal, and various committees to ensure consistency in maintaining educational standards.

Functions of IQAC

In line with NAAC recommendations, the IQAC of the institution undertakes the following functions:

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty development.
  • Developing mechanisms for obtaining feedback from students, parents, alumni, and other stakeholders on quality-related processes.
  • Organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs on quality-related themes to promote awareness and capacity building.
  • Documenting various programs and activities that lead to quality improvement.
  • Promoting the development of a quality culture within the institution through participatory practices.
  • Identifying gaps and recommending remedial measures for continuous quality enhancement.
  • Preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) and ensuring its timely submission to NAAC.
