Program Outcome

At the end of three-year Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), the students will be able:

I. General and Interdisciplinary Knowledge

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of core theories, concepts, and principles of major/optional subjects such as Macroeconomics, Public Finance, Indian Literature, and Social Psychology.
  • Develop multicultural awareness and appreciation of diverse cultures, literatures, historical timelines, and social structures at national and international levels.
  • Understand the basic provisions of Human Rights, types of violations, and mechanisms for redressal, especially concerning weaker sections such as Scheduled Castes, Women, and the Elderly.
  • Gain environmental literacy by understanding major ecological issues, disaster management approaches, and sustainable development practices.
  • Cultivate a scientific temper by distinguishing between scientific reasoning and superstition, and appreciating the evolution of science and technology.
  • Analyze and interpret contemporary social, economic, and political issues affecting Indian society and the global community.

II. Core Subject and Analytical Skills

  • Develop critical thinking skills to conceptualize, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information from diverse sources.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge of core subjects to analyze real-life problems, progressing from fundamental concepts to advanced applications.
  • Acquire basic research skills, including forming research questions, designing simple surveys, and undertaking minor academic projects.
  • Strengthen analytical and problem-solving abilities to arrive at well-reasoned conclusions within their academic domain.
  • Use quantitative reasoning tools—such as basic statistical techniques, probability concepts, and financial calculations (where applicable)—to interpret and analyze data.
  • Evaluate historical and literary sources, understand historical transitions, and analyze literary works across genres (for relevant disciplines).

III. Communication and Soft Skills

  • Master effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills for academic, professional, and social interactions.
  • Develop formal writing skills required to compose applications, reports, academic documents, Statements of Purpose (SOPs), and professional resumes.
  • Acquire presentation skills, including PowerPoint usage, and actively participate in group discussions and interviews.
  • Strengthen interpersonal skills such as active listening, self-awareness, and appropriate body language.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and leadership qualities essential for effective group performance and goal achievement.
  • Gain proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools for academic and daily tasks.

IV. Personal and Professional Development

  • Understand concepts of motivation and apply effective strategies for Time Management and setting SMART goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, self-awareness, and commitment to lifelong learning for future academic and career development.
